tullybrone Posted 2 December , 2018 Share Posted 2 December , 2018 Hi, I’m afraid the quality isnt so good - presume from your mobile phone? It’s too blurred for me to make out much. Steve
Neil 2242 Posted 2 December , 2018 Share Posted 2 December , 2018 So which part in particular do you want help with? Have to agree with Steve as well, the image you've posted is no help at that resolution. Far better to just give people enough information to find the record themselves. TEW Posted 2 December , 2018 Share Posted 2 December , 2018 As he was admitted to 14 FA there should also be a MH106 record for him. TEW
TEW Posted 3 December , 2018 Share Posted 3 December , 2018 He doesn't show up on MH106 with a search by name & number but he is on the list. MH106/11 page 42 Findmypast. Listed as 2nd Manchesters, B. Company. Transferred to Divisional Rest Camp same day as per the pension file. TEW
The Viking Posted 12 December , 2018 Share Posted 12 December , 2018 would I possibly find one of these for my grand farther George Patrick Conway ? I know he was taken to 12 general hospital Rouen. I do have this through
clk Posted 12 December , 2018 Share Posted 12 December , 2018 Hi, 6 hours ago, The Viking said: would I possibly find one of these for my grand farther George Patrick Conway ? I think unfortunately not. The "Casualty Form - Active Service" appears in some (though not all) of the files that survived a fire in WW2. I didn't see a file for George. What you do have though is his unit (the nature of his wound), and the date that he was admitted to the General Hospital. Given that date, and the nature of the evacuation chain, you could probably make a reasonable guess as to when he actually received the wound, and cross reference to the unit war diary to see if it might point towards something. It is unlikely to mention George specifically by name though. Regards Chris
