It might help to know that FindmyPast seem to have digitised most (if not all) of this ships admissions registers for 1915-1918. They cover the Mediterranean Gallipoli and Mesopotamia. They can be very useful for tracing a group of men from the same unit injured at the same time. From Mesopotamia the casualties were more often sickness- Dysentery, Debility and even the odd jackal bite. A quick search suggests some 21,000 hits .
