Guest Posted 25 November , 2018 Share Posted 25 November , 2018 I have inherited some artefacts from my Grand father F A Rogers. I have his soldiers small book with some info and have his pension records from an on line source. He started his army career as a Bugle boy in 1900 at 14 1/2 years old in the 1900 - 1902 Boer war. He was demobbed from Basra in 1920. He served at Hillsborough, Minden Barracks and Blackpool as a trainer. There is a 59th Northern General hospital connection but not certain if he served there.( France) In some his things is a 1914-15 star medal ( no ribbon) belonging to William Johnson PNR RE . I would love to be able to return this to his descendants.
