What are the medals on his chest? Left to right if possible. Also Hair and eye colour would be good.

Both dark brown.

The medals I'll go and check - I know there's a WW1 trio and a LSGC (blue and white equal vertical stripes).

The first ribbon, which you can only just see through the angle in the lapel, is the  Naval General Service Medal with clasp Persian Gulf 1909-14. Ribbon white with maroon edges and two thin maroon stripes, as @royalredcross kindly told me.

Then , 14/15 Star, War Medal, Victory Medal (w/Oak Leaf) & LS&GC.

Done. I didn't do the background. Also, I could've done the VM better.

That's wonderful! - seems a bit mean of me to be picky about the medals, but as the one on the right hand end should be the LSGC, that should be dark blue and white stripes?

Sorry got confused with the LSGC military. I'll change it now.

In repairing the damage you've edited out the cloth eagle he was sporting at the top of his left sleeve (one of a matching pair). It would have looked much like this:

The original patch was too damaged so I didn't see it. I tried colorizing the original but it didn't work.

Jools

Belated thanks for this one - I've been in an internet wilderness for a few weeks.

Could you possibly make the the cholera belt deep red and the shirt a sand/khaki colour? Thanks

Thanks again Jools. Sorry to be a pain, I appreciate that you are doing me a great favour but could you possibly make the belt darker red close to maroon?

Thanks

Dave

I'm not sure if if this counts as advertisement and I am dearly sorry if it is. But I will correct and possibly colorize images for you for free. I have attached an image of Paul von Hindenburg that I had done. The colors could be off on that one I had not much time to do research him but that is about a representation of what I can do. I am open to any image that you have so please send them at me. Again, sorry if this is counting as advertisement, my apology.

Mr. WJP,

I have been amazed at the restorations/colorizations that you have shown!

Would you care to work your colorization magic on the attached photo; for info, the the bandsman standing front & centre with the vertical drum is wearing a leopard-skin over his tunic.  They may be wearing summer issue, light-colored, tan uniforms.

Out of interest, are you doing a graphic arts degree?

Regards,

JMB

William

I have not seen an messages from you for some time so I was wondering if you are still available to colorize images.
