Died 13.07.18  Age 29

Commemorated: United Kingdom Book of Remembrance

 

GOUGH, David Evan

1 Bn, London Regiment (Royal Fusiliers)

Died 08.05.19  Age 18

Commemorated: United Kingdom Book of Remembrance

 

JONES, William

Private  2565

1 Bn, Welsh Guards

Died 14.07.18  Age 21

Commemorated: United Kingdom Book of Remembrance

 

SELMAN, William

Serjeant  5956

2 Bn, Gloucestershire Regiment

Died 10.06.15

Commemorated: United Kingdom Book of Remembrance

 

WINDLE, Richard Thomas

Corporal  18097

9 Bn, Cameronians (Scottish Rifles)

Died 03.05.17

Commemorated: Arras Memorial

Four of the above were In From the Cold Project cases

-          Pte Charles died post-discharge of tuberculosis (Volunteer: Steve John)

-          Pte Gough died post-discharge of tuberculosis (Volunteer: Steve John)

-          Pte Jones died post-discharge of tuberculosis (Volunteer: Steve John)

-          Cpl Windle was killed in action (Volunteer: Richard Clarke)

Commemoration moved to Falfield (St. George) Churchyard, Glos. He is to receive a special memorial.

Grave found Neath (St Thomas) Churchyard, Glam

On further investigation it has been found that Charles is actually buried at 

Llantwit (St. Illtyd) Old Churchyard.
