Hello, Please could anyone help me and tell me what Gun would have used this?

I think I have maybe come up with answers on the markings ? but anymore help appreciated in case I have it incorrect.

PATRONENFABRIK  KABISRUHE  - Cartridge Factory

SP255  -  Spandau inspection mark

JULI 1918

Standard twin flaming bombs for this manufacturer

The Base measures 275mm and the Height 420mm although may have been reduced , as can be seen from the photographs at one time it was made into a Tea Urn.

Thank you for any help given.

That's a first, a cartridge case re-purposed as a tea urn.

  • 2 months later...

More information is that apparently it would have been used by a Rail Mounted Gun.

Original length would have been 1032 mm.

24cm SKL40 case.
