Pimpernell Posted 8 November , 2018 Share Posted 8 November , 2018 Hello. The attached is a medal card for Walter Couling , my great uncle, .b.1907 in Carlisle. At 17 yrs old he began his career in the Merchant Navy for the Broklebank Company. Can anyone interpret the information on the card please. Admin DavidOwen Posted 8 November , 2018 Admin Share Posted 8 November , 2018 This looks like ww2 to me so would be best asked on a ww2 forum. WW1 medal cards for merchant seamen are different.

Pimpernell Posted 8 November , 2018 Author Share Posted 8 November , 2018 Many thanks to David Owen, Max D and rolt968. I have found the Merchant Seamans cards on Findmypast. The guides on National Archives was just right. I now have the information I needed. Sorry for the mistake in posting this in the wrong forum.
