Scalyback Posted 6 November , 2018 Share Posted 6 November , 2018 To do with Dr Oetkar and his sons death rather than pizza. Less said about the company in World War two the better.

Marilyne Posted 8 November , 2018 Share Posted 8 November , 2018 Well I guess nearly every family in Germany lost somebody in the war... the rich and the poor. quick wikipedia search states that: "Dr. Oetker's son, Rudolf, died in the FWW. However Rudolf, and his wife, Ida, had two children, Rudolf-August and Ursula. Ida Oetker remarried Dr. Richard Kaselowsky, and they subsequently had four more children. Dr. Kaselowsky raised Rudolf-August and Ursula as his own. " Rudolf August became very rich with grandpa Oetker's recipes... but as Scalyback says: don't dig too deep in his actions and allegeances during WWII. M. fritz Posted 8 November , 2018 Author Share Posted 8 November , 2018 Rudolf's body was sent to Bielefeld where he was buried. Certainly a privilege of his origin. - In memory of Rudolf, the family built the Rudolf Oetker Hall. Even today an attractive concert hall.
