Alison Hine’s Refilling Haig’s Armies: The Replacement of British Infantry Casualties on the Western Front, 1916-1918

The following book from Helion caught my eye and may well interest others Alison Hine’s Refilling Haig’s Armies: The Replacement of British Infantry Casualties on the Western Front, 1916-1918 (ISBN: 9781912390700) which hopefully should be published next week. I am also aware of Tim Lynch’s Stepbrothers in Arms: Replacements in the British Expeditionary Force on the Western Front 1918 (ISBN: 1911512919). I have seen a publication date of March this year for it but it does not appear to have been published yet (which is a shame) and in fact it does not appear on Helion’s website. I am interesting in both books as they complement each other.

I too was waiting for Tim Lynch's book but as it had not appeared I approached Helion and they informed me that the author has withdrawn it (this was around May 2018).

 

Likewise, very much looking forward to Alison Hine's work.
