museumtom Posted 6 November , 2018 Share Posted 6 November , 2018 I have been asked to see if the rusty items found in a coastal fort have anything to do with signalling or for another purpose perhaps? I have no idea what these bits are. They are located on the highest point in the fort. Can you suggest what they are please? https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B6JNyA_xjQ0lSWpXWUtfcXpTTzA Thanks you most kindly for anything you can do. Tom. Scalyback Posted 17 November , 2018 Share Posted 17 November , 2018 Look like anchor points to stop any mast moving in the wind. Light antenna can be free standing but bigger ones need to be secure especially when wire run about for different frequencies etc there can a lot of weight up in the air. Dai Bach y Sowldiwr Posted 17 November , 2018 Share Posted 17 November , 2018 Looks like Cobh Harbour to me. Or is it somewhere on the Co.Tipperary coast?
