NorthStaffsPOW Posted 5 November , 2018 Share Posted 5 November , 2018 Hi all. I am wondering if anyone can clarify something for me? I have been looking into silver Canadian memorial crosses recently and have come across two different styles of naming (I am of course referring to First World War examples only). The first is the neat uniform impressed script that I seem to see on most crosses. The second looks to be more hand engraved, but there does not appear to be any obvious signs of renaming and there seem to be a lot out there in different places with this style. This suggests to me that it is just a variation in naming style. I would be interested to hear thoughts on this. I have attached two photos to illustrate my point, I have got these from the web and unfortunately don't own these crosses. Many thanks.
