Dever Mayfly Posted 3 November , 2018 Share Posted 3 November , 2018 I read that the US Army recruited 233 female bilingual telephone operators to work close to the front line in France in 1918. Does any member know whether the British Army did the same and if so, whether they were treated as civilians, or as military and wore Queen Mary's Army Auxiliary Corps badge?
