GRANVILLE Posted 2 November , 2018 Posted 2 November , 2018 (edited) Another couple of photos have come to light as a result of our WW1 display. The owners knows nothing about them except they have been in the family for years. It is a appreciated both pre-date the war but it would be interesting to know if anyone can shed light on what the uniforms reveal? David Edited 2 November , 2018 by GRANVILLE

charlie962 Posted 2 November , 2018 Posted 2 November , 2018 For the second I suggest Samuel Hickson RAMC
GRANVILLE Posted 2 November , 2018 Author Posted 2 November , 2018 Wow, that was quick. Many thanks. David
FROGSMILE Posted 2 November , 2018 Posted 2 November , 2018 (edited) A great photo of a General Officers frock coat with its distinctive velvet collar and cuffs. Likewise full dress tunic of the RAMC with the crimson gauntlet cuffs, also in velvet, that were such a special feature of that corp’s uniform. Edited 2 November , 2018 by FROGSMILE
GRANVILLE Posted 3 November , 2018 Author Posted 3 November , 2018 Fantastic how much 'life' can be brought to two photographs about which the owners knew so little. They will appreciated this so a big thanks. David
