Dazscuba Posted 1 November , 2018 Share Posted 1 November , 2018 I am looking for an image or plans of the HM Trawler Thomas Stratten Which was lost with all hands in Oct 1917 in the Puter Hebs. I have a file with all the crew details/ history etc and know that it was a German sub that caused the sinking. just looking for that illusive image.? sotonmate Posted 27 November , 2018 Share Posted 27 November , 2018 Took a while to twig the position of the loss ! Did you mean Outer Hebrides ? If you have data from UBoat net you will have the builder and the peacetime operator, two more possible sources for a photo. Plus a possibility that a local news archive to the action may have one from around 20 Oct 1917.

Dazscuba Posted 27 November , 2018 Author Share Posted 27 November , 2018 David thanks for the above, tried them and all the local archives Hull, Grimsby and Selby where it was built. Have tried BNA but nothing in there and think Scotland has its own newspaper archive??? can find all the crew and where lived etc from web sites but still no picture. Again thanks for suggestions Daz
