rmtruby Posted 16 January , 2005 Share Posted 16 January , 2005 I’ve just been reading “The History of Saint Paul’s Church, Golds Hill, 1882-2002” by John Pearce. Gold’s Hill is situated between Hill Top, West Bromwich and Great Bridge. The following names are included on a marble tablet, situated on the wall of the church at the junction of the chancel and nave: To the glory of God and in memory of the gallant men from this parish who died for their country in the Great War 1914-1918 F. Stephen Nulty Posted 21 January , 2005 Share Posted 21 January , 2005 Ray With regard to W Threadgold, there are only 2 possibles on CWGC. One of these (William Hill Threadgold) was born in Goole, Yorkshire and the other ( W T Threadgold) has no personal details recorded. Can't find any entries in the 1901 census for this surname with links to West Bromwich. Steve
