i have translated  bits which seem to say welfare card for help with invalid soldiers

and the sender says kammer jaeger which seams to mean rat catcher or exterminator weird.

dated april 14th 1916 .

has anyone seen these before

i assume a lot were sold

i thought it would go well with the original flanders marine medal i have.

thanks

Hi,

yes, the front of the card and what it depicts has nothing to do with what is writen on the back. Frau Staeding complaints to W. Karsten, a vermin exterminator, both in Hamburg, that he closed the mice in, but didn´t kill them. They now make a lot of noise (probably within the wall) and Ms Staeding fears that they will nibble and gnaw their way out and asks the exterminator to finish the job next Monday.
