I have the war diary for the above Brigade and am struggling to find a definition for 'C.B.D' . It states "...bombarded cross roads at Bol? with C.B.R at 7:00 p.m." I hope that someone can enlighten me further.

Counter Battery Fire was a tactic used to eliminate enemy guns, mortars and other artillery. So I presume that C.B.R. stands for Counter Battery Rounds.
