Lady Linda Posted 22 October , 2018 Share Posted 22 October , 2018 Hi Everyone, I have a photo of him and his grave stone but would love to have more info about him. Every time I google him I keep getting the other George Udney Yule. His was in the Royal Engineers and was born in 1881 and died in 22nd December 1918 in India. Many thanks Linda

HolymoleyRE Posted 22 October , 2018 Share Posted 22 October , 2018 Hi Linda, Behind the Genealogical sites is most of his military records, with his Officer File being at the National Archives (a dropped E in the middle name). He appears as a 2nd Lieutenant on a 1902 Army List, Mobilised to France 12th May 1915, wounded 1916 for Shell Shock whilst with the 57th Field Company RE, Mentioned in Dispatches in 1917, DSO in the New Years Honours in Jan 1917. His Royal Engineer expertise seems to be in the Railways too. http://discovery.nationalarchives.gov.uk/details/r/C747869 Regards Andy
