robbie Posted 15 January , 2005 Share Posted 15 January , 2005 There is an excellent review of the GW artist WIlliam Orpen in today's Guardian. Orpen was the official war artist from 1916 onwards. There are 138 paintings and drawings in the Imperial War Museum exhibition which runs from January 27 - May 2. Robbie
Guest Simon Bull Posted 19 February , 2005 Share Posted 19 February , 2005 Has anyone been to this exhibition at the IWM? If so, what did they think of it?
Patrick @ IFF Posted 20 February , 2005 Share Posted 20 February , 2005 I went last week. A large part of the exhibition is dedicated to his war paintings, so for that reason alone, it's worth going.
