The three numbers are his service numbers in 3 different regiments:

1751 - Essex Yeomanry

151441 - Machine Gun Corps

20508 - 2  County of London Yeomanry

The card suggests him to have entered his first theatre of war (1 = France & Flanders) on 5/6/15 with Essex Yeomanry.

Then in  2 County of London Yeomanry , then finally Machine Gun Corps.

Hi,

Unfortunately, I didn't see a surviving service file for Frederick. There are a few though for men in the MGC that had near numbers to his 151441.

151304 Cook

151306 Cusack

151339 Daly

151369 Elms

151427 Hitchcoe

151441

151503 Kennedy

151504 Keenes

151529 Low

151531 Mead

151542 Mathies

151557 Martin

151569 Mann

They all appear to be compulsory transfers to the MGC wef 13.6.1918, and where noted largely served with the 104 Bn MGC (war diary link) and mostly having previously been with the County of London Yeomanry.

Regards

Chris

Edit:

Looking at his Essex Yeomanry number...

1705 Barrow - joined 14.12.1914

1724 Brown - joined 21.12.1914

1742 Riches - joined 31.12.1914

1743 Harrison - joined 31.12.1914

1748 Webster - joined 1.1.1915

1751

1753 Cowell - joined 4.1.1915

1754 Carter - joined 4.1.1915

1759 Flood - joined 4.1.1915
