Guest josee Posted 15 January , 2005 Share Posted 15 January , 2005 Hello to the list. I am trying to find where in West Africa my great uncle George BARROW died in 1917. This evening I have stumbled on the story of SS Abosso which was sunk by enemy action off Fastnet 22 April 1917, and wondered for the nth time if he was on board. I have just read the thread this from time last year where a list member or moderator was able to identify a passenger from this ship. Could someone please help? His name was George BARROW born 1875 & died according to family legend in 1917. His parents were James & Winifred BARROW in Manchester. I do not know if he was not in the military. Thankyou for taking the time to read this message. Regards Josee in Queensland
