SS Abosso 1917

Hello to the list.

I am trying to find where in West Africa my great uncle George BARROW died in 1917.

This evening I have stumbled on the story of SS Abosso which was sunk by enemy action off Fastnet 22 April 1917, and wondered for the nth time if he was on board.

I have just read the thread this from time last year where a list member or moderator was able to identify a passenger from this ship.

Could someone please help?

His name was George BARROW born 1875 & died according to family legend in 1917.

His parents were James & Winifred BARROW in Manchester. I do not know if he was not in the military.

Thankyou for taking the time to read this message.

Regards

Josee in Queensland

Harry, you do know the  post is 16yrs old. As the OP is a guest, it does not seem possible to find if they are still around
