Rum Ration Posted 11 October , 2018 Share Posted 11 October , 2018 I am seeking information on these types of certificates. Were they only issued late War? How common/scarce are they? How many different units are known to have issued them? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
robins2 Posted 13 October , 2018 Share Posted 13 October , 2018 certificate appears to be a award of the Iron Cross, 2nd class to a member of the 42nd MG company, issued internally rather than from a Army Headquarters, I think it was common practice that the various units/companies issued their own certificates. a nice find, I do not imagine there were that many issued by the MG Company
