If it's made of a sort of oatmeal sacking material, like some mess tin covers, then I've seen a few of these. They are always dated 1918 and seem to be a cheap version of the usual cotton duck bag. The material is of lower quality, without much body to it and very floppy.

 

Some interesting gear in the background.....!

im lucky this is just a  bit i guess been collecting a while  when stuff was cheaper 30 years ago

You don't see many collections like that! Some really nice pieces there. Great work getting it on display and in a limited space too, something I've been meaning to do for years.

i did have some officers Lincoln diarys  loos holezern redoubt if i can remember where i last saw the  if your into swaps  i believe he was a Capt
