flintman Posted 11 October , 2018 Share Posted 11 October , 2018 Hello Forum members. 30428 - Private Herbert Grainger Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers. BWM/VM - full entitlement. Non casualty. Can anyone please help with any details of this soldiers service please ? Which Battalion he was in ? I only have his service number as shown on his Medal Index Card. I cannot see any Service/Pension records for him. He was not entitled to a Silver War Badge as far as I can tell. When did he enlist? Which Division ? Is it likely he saw action on the Somme 1/7/16 and if so where? I have basic Ancestry but no access to other similar sites or any records of this Regiment. Any help appreciated. Thank you for reading my request. Clive
