Guards' Cemetery, Lesboeufs

Recommended Posts

If  anyone is visiting the above cemetery, perhaps they could clarify something for me?
According to the Cemetery plan there are some Special Memorials on the wall behind the Cross of Sacrifice, The Marker I am looking for was reported as a Special Memorial "Buried in this Cemetery, actual Grave unknown" in 1923 for Captain R.N. ADAMS R.Fus 10/10/16.

Captain Adams was actually a pilot with the RFC and in 1932 was named on the Arras Flying Services Memorial. The other Soldiers who had similar markers now appear on Thiepval so has all trace of them been removed from Lesboeufs?

I can have a look in the next couple of days.

PM me the details so that I don't forget when I'm out that way.
