seb phillips Posted 10 October , 2018 Share Posted 10 October , 2018 This may sound like an odd request, but I'm a history teacher and as part of a lesson, my class started asking questions about Peter Barton's work on the German reaction to the Somme, and the state of the German archives - I was quite impressed for year 8's. Does anyone know how I could get an email to him, either directly or through a group he's connected to? Many thanks, Seb Phillips
Heid the Ba Posted 10 October , 2018 Share Posted 10 October , 2018 There is a member of the forum called Peter Barton, but he hasn't been here for eight years. Maybe the Mods would pass on a message?
BFBSM Posted 10 October , 2018 Share Posted 10 October , 2018 You could try contacting him through Allen & Unwin who published some of his work.
SiegeGunner Posted 10 October , 2018 Share Posted 10 October , 2018 Seb, I am Peter B's translator (and translated all the German material used in his BBC 2016 Somme series). PM me your e-mail address and I will put you in touch. Mick

A different person of the same name, I think. Peter Barton, the historian and documentary film-maker, is not a member of the forum.
