Action around Wadi Hammon near Amman

Mates,

 

An operation around Wadi Hammon near Amman was under taken by the 1 ALH Bde and came into contact with Ottoman forces during which a single aircraft appeared and helped the ALH capture the Ottoman force 27 Sept 1918.

 

The Diary and other sources do not same what aircraft it was or from what Sqn?

 

I would have thought it may have been 1 Sqn AFC, but that does not show up with that Sqn, so was it from a British Sqn?

 

Who was operating around Amman that day
