TeeJF Posted 8 September , 2018 Share Posted 8 September , 2018 Hi everyone, We are investigating a relative who served in the 1/4 South Lancs and died on 14th May 1917. The war diary states that they were working on screening at Savile Road and Haymarket. I think I may have found Savile Road on a trench map someone posted on here some years ago, but I'm really struggling with Haymarket. If, as I'm thinking, the two areas are a couple of miles NE of Ypres, can anyone shine any light on why he was buried at Vlamertinghe? We wondered if he was injured, moved to the CCS but then died. Many thanks for any help you can give. Tracy
