stiletto_33853 Posted 2 September , 2018 Share Posted 2 September , 2018 (edited) Wonder if anyone can help me concerning this gentleman and his service in the RFC & RAF during WWI. Rifle Brigade officer from 1906, son of the Earl of Glasgow. Ended up as an Air Commodore I believe. Errol Martyn Posted 2 September , 2018 Share Posted 2 September , 2018 Andy, As chance would have it I compiled bio details about JDB just last week for my present project about New Zealanders (born or resident) involved in aviation during the Great War and Russia, 1914-1919. Email me at errol.martyn ATT xtra.co.nz if you would like me to send you a copy. As a matter of interest what is your interest in JDB? stiletto_33853 Posted 3 September , 2018 Author Share Posted 3 September , 2018 (edited) Thank you ICM, that form is not included in his papers. Errol, my interest in JDB is his time as an RB officer and wanting to complete my picture and bio on the man for my records. Entered the RB through the Militia, 2nd Lt 16/5/06, Lieut. 23/3/10. 2nd RB India 1906-10, 1st RB 1911-13. He did not resign his commission in the Rifle Brigade until August 1919. stiletto_33853 Posted 4 September , 2018 Author Share Posted 4 September , 2018 (edited) Errol, Thank you, he seems to disappear from RB material at the end of 1914, however he has an obit in the 1975 Green Jacket Chronicle. Errol Martyn Posted 5 September , 2018 Share Posted 5 September , 2018 Thanks, too, Johnboy. I had seen but on a second reading picked up a couple of details that I'd first overlooked. Errol
