Shiny Posted 27 August , 2018 Share Posted 27 August , 2018 Hi All, I've found a few relatives that were based in Ypres and the surrounding areas and I'm fairly sure they would have "gone on the pop" in Poperinge. I quite like the idea of following in their footsteps and was wondering if there's any cafe's or bars there that would have been there at the time that you can go to now and have something to eat or drink in? Thanks a lot, Michael
Ron Clifton Posted 27 August , 2018 Share Posted 27 August , 2018 There's one in the market square called "De Banke" or something similar. I believe that the proprietors come from Suffolk. Ron
Shiny Posted 27 August , 2018 Author Share Posted 27 August , 2018 Thanks Ron, I think we're going to have a cuppa at Talbot House as well but I like the idea of going into town as well. Michael
sassenach Posted 27 August , 2018 Share Posted 27 August , 2018 Well worth spending some time at Talbot House. Your relatives are quite likely to have gone there.
