Laird of Camster Posted 26 August , 2018 Share Posted 26 August , 2018 Ladies/Gents, Does anyone live near to Pieta Military Cemetery and are you in a position to assist me with a research project? I'm trying to ascertain whether there is a marked grave for someone who died in 1890. I know where the grave should be but not if a head stone still exists? If anyone can help me please PM me. Many thanks in advance.
JWK Posted 26 August , 2018 Share Posted 26 August , 2018 Pieta Military Cemetery in Malta? Findagrave has 98% of the memorials photographed, e.g. George Barnden, died 21 october 1890 :
Laird of Camster Posted 27 August , 2018 Author Share Posted 27 August , 2018 (edited) Many thanks JWK, it appears that going by the findagrave website the individual I'm looking for doesn't have a marked grave? It has been suggested to me that this is not unusual which I find very sad. The person I'm looking for was the 2 year old daughter of Colour Sgt Alfred Mason, 1st Btn Shropshire Light Infantry. Her name was Mabel Agnes Mason and her last resting place within Pieta Military Cemetery is row 14 grave 4. Laird of Camster Posted 14 September , 2018 Author Share Posted 14 September , 2018 Sadly it appears that Mabel has no headstone marking her grave, but her last resting place does still exist.
