WHO WAS NURSE BENNETT?

The WW1 Roll of Honour of the village of Martin in Hampshire lists one 'Nurse Bennett'. Her name is next to 'Harold Bennett - Tank Corps'; 4/69499, then 310576 Harold Martin Bennett who served in the 20th Tank Battalion. If 'Nurse Bennett' is his sister (not guaranteed), she should be Kate Ivy Bennett (b.1891) or Florence Mary Bennett (b.1893) (Martin's Census 1911). I've tried finding these two in the services (and VAD) but to no avail, and can find no other Bennetts who derive from the same part of the country.

If anyone can identify 'Nurse Bennett', I would be most grateful.

She may be Olive Louise Bennett, born in Gosport, Hampshire in about 1889. She is mentioned on CWGC https://www.cwgc.org/find-war-dead/casualty/75452958/bennett,-olive-louise/

I have looked further and now think she is Kate Ivy Bennet, although recorded as Ivy Kate Bennet.   There is also a Q.A.I.M.N.S. record for her on The National Archives. She is recorded as Ivy Bennett, but by looking at the images on the viewre, especially image 11, you can see she is Ivy Kate Bennett, and she served in Malta. http://discovery.nationalarchives.gov.uk/details/r/C10793288

To wrap this up, she was the daughter of William and Kate Bennett, the former a farmer in Martin. Ivy was born in 1891 and trained as a nurse in Taunton, thereafter working at home. She joined the Queen Alexandra's Imperial Military Nursing Service in late 1915, and was posted to St. Paul's Military Hospital in Malta remaining there for nine months until family illness forced her to leave and return home. On the death of her mother, she rejoined and served at Devonport Hospital until her services were no longer required in 1919.
