Constantlypuzzled Posted 12 August , 2018 Share Posted 12 August , 2018 Hi, I'm trying to trace the movements of a John Russell White, RAF service record attached. I can see he enlisted with the RFC as a boy artificer in January 1918, transferring to the RAF April 1918. The unit to which he transferred was 9TDS( Shawbury, if I've understood an earlier post). Does the attached service record mean he remained there until June 1919 when he transferred to the RAF reserve? I cant read all the comments in section 3 other than he volunteered in February 1919 for "the period of occupation" I know he spent much of his adult life in Egypt (Alexandria and Cairo) and was latterly an engineer for BOAC on flying boats at Rod el Farag. Is there any indication on the record that he was stationed there with the RAF? Also, whats the difference between a TS and TDS? Thanks for any assistance you are able to give.
