alex revell Posted 7 August , 2018 Share Posted 7 August , 2018 Hello all, I've been commissioned to write an article on the operations of the RAF during the last days before the Armistice. The above officer was the last RAF casualty of the war, being wounded on 10 November and sadly, dying of his wounds the next day. I would very much like to include a photo of this officer in the article and would be most grateful if anyone has one I could use. In advance, many thanks Alex
petet Posted 8 August , 2018 Share Posted 8 August , 2018 Not sure if this is any use (in the event of nothing else) http://www.grosse-family.org/1 Aviateurs a Azelot WW1.pdf
alex revell Posted 8 August , 2018 Author Share Posted 8 August , 2018 Petet, What a fabulous site!. Many thanks for that. Unfortunately, that of Mackay in the group photo isn't useable. I think my best bet is to see if I can obtain his Royal Aero Certificate photo from the trust, unless a forumite comes up with something in the meantime.
