sassenach Posted 2 August , 2018 Share Posted 2 August , 2018 Would anyone know whether this feature still exists? It's mentioned often in accounts of Third Ypres. Google Maps does not seem to suggest that a stream of any kind is there today.

AOK4 Posted 2 August , 2018 Share Posted 2 August , 2018 It is there of course. It is a beek, which usually means it is not wider than 1 to 2 metres. Of course, after the British artillery fire completely destroyed the area in 1917 and its drainage system, it became a marshland many metres wide, just as any other small brook in Flanders.
