keithfazzani Posted 30 July , 2018 Share Posted 30 July , 2018 Can anyone recommend suitable hotel accomodation in the Verdun area? There have been some suggestions in previous posts but these are all some time ago. Thanks.
healdav Posted 31 July , 2018 Share Posted 31 July , 2018 Hotel Orchidee Hotel Prunelia Both pretty modern and well used by battlefield visitors. There are one or two others in the city itself but as far as I know no parking . Both the hotels I mentioned have adequate parking and restaurants (if rather basic)
Steven Broomfield Posted 31 July , 2018 Share Posted 31 July , 2018 I went over a couple of years with some chums and we ended up in an Ibis or similar on an Industrial estate on the edge of town civilisation. It was cheap but you got what you paid for. Nearest eating establishments were within 5 minutes' walk, but you really have to like out-of-town steak houses. Oh, there was an option - an eat-all-you-can Chinese place. Filling.
Admin Michelle Young Posted 31 July , 2018 Admin Share Posted 31 July , 2018 Stayed in the Hotel du Commerce at Aubreville for old times sake in June. We'd last stayed there in 1989. Fair to say it had seen better days. Ok for a one night stop, the bed was comfortable and the beer was cold. Michelle
kwacker Posted 10 August , 2018 Share Posted 10 August , 2018 Stayed last year in the Jardin du Mess right in the centre on the river bank with parking. Was beautiful. Recommended. Nick
