Remembered Today:

Time To Reach Hospital

Hopefully someone with knowledge of the casualty evacuation procedures will have an idea on this question.

I am looking for an approximate timescale for the evacuation of a soldier who was wounded whilst serving in the Ploegsteert Wood sector of the front & ended up at one of the main casualty clearing stations/hospitals in Bailluel just over the French/Belgian border about 7.5 miles away on modern roads.

In my mind it wouldn't have been more than 24 hours but not knowing the triage procedures used this is just a guess.
