droberts Posted 10 January , 2005 Author Share Posted 10 January , 2005 Thanks very much. Unfortunately it does not give michaels home address. Does theatre of war "home" mean that he actualy died at his home or that he died within the british isles? Thanks a lot again Dave Roberts
kpm Posted 10 January , 2005 Share Posted 10 January , 2005 Hi Les, How did you manage to attached that image??? Ian.
eviltaxman Posted 10 January , 2005 Share Posted 10 January , 2005 David, Home can mean either! Death whilst "home" could be through wounds received whilst fighting or they could be on a training exercise and die through that (even if it sounds extreme, it can happen). It can be many scenerios. As for home address, sometimes CWGC has this info on their entry -- but not always. You've probably already checked this site, but just in case.... M Ryan CWGC entry Les. eviltaxman Posted 10 January , 2005 Share Posted 10 January , 2005 Hi Les, How did you manage to attached that image??? Ian. Ian Quite simple -- when you have the page (website or SDGW etc) press your "Print Screen / SysRq" button (next to "F12") Go to "paint" & paste the image & save it. You can then tinker with it - to trim the edges in Paint or any other image manipulation prog. I use ACDSee - damn good! Once you got the finished article, type out your posting and click the "browse" button below - find the image and attach it. The system does the rest i.e. uploads it when you click "add reply". Hope this helps. Les.
