Dragoon Posted 19 July , 2018 Share Posted 19 July , 2018 Hello good people of the forum. My Dad is reading a book at the moment and its based in Lancashire during the WW1 period. In the book it mentions that one of the characters joined the 'Leigh Pals', I have no idea of such a unit, any thoughts on this one will be most welcome. Thank you all for your time Chris

Admin DavidOwen Posted 19 July , 2018 Admin Share Posted 19 July , 2018 There is a list of locally raised units in Wikip* but none specifically raised in Leigh. A number were raised in the Greater Manchester area, of which Leigh would have been a part. Probably literary licence?
