Guest Posted 12 January , 2005 Share Posted 12 January , 2005 From your original post, although the lady was your grandmother, it sounds like the gentleman was not your grandfather. Her first husband then? If so, it should be possible for you to trace her marriage certificate, which will give you his personal details and from this you can see if he is on the CWGC, etc. If not, he may have died after discharge from the services, in which case you may be able to get hold of his death certificate.
