2 pics found on line. Most pics are posed, looking at camera, one shows 2 Germans in armor behind steel Sniper shields, kind of neat pic, other, well? Strange! Have a look, Tell me what you think, thanks

Body armour worn to rear is common and makes sense. The trench walk protects front.

THE 1ST PHOTO IS FROM A GRABENPANZER

THE SOLDIER IS WEARING IT ISTEAD IN FRONT, AT HIS BACK.

THIS WAS SOMETHING COMMON DURING WW1, AS SOLDIERS BELIEVED THI WAY THEY WILL BE COVER THEIR BACK FROM ARTILLERY.

THE SECOND PHOTO IS SHOWING A STIRNPANZER.

BUT THE SOLDIER, INSTEAD TO WEAR IT UP HIS HELMET, HE HAS PUT IT TO COVER HIS FACE.

ALSO THIS WAS VERY POPULAR TACTIC DURING WW1.

I HOPE I HELP.

REGARDS, D.
