wmfinch Posted 28 June , 2018 Share Posted 28 June , 2018 Hello All, I recently picked up this 1915 dated Cartridge Case which I think is an 18 pounder. The stamp isn't very clear. It has been polished an awful lot but I can make out the C.F. cordite filled Mark and the makers Mark is M.L Co. AMZ. The acceptance arrow has the number 1 above it with 8.1? below it. Underneath, is a tiny 4. As for the primer, I can only make out the Crows Foot and the number 15. There is another very faint number which is unreadable. It has been cut down to about 1 1/2 inches high for use as an Ashtray. Any help will be much appreciated. V/R Wayne

V/R Wayne no problems, the primer is also stamped with c broad arrow, as for the other markings will have to wait till a expert comes along to identify other than CF cordite charged regards Bob R.
