alf mcm Posted 28 June , 2018 Share Posted 28 June , 2018 John Yates was a member of the 10th Royal Scots {TF} from March 1911, and on 16th December 1914 was discharged for the purpose of enlisting in the Regulars. He was enlisted in the Army Cyclist Corps next day According to his service records, on 4th June 1917 he was awarded a bounty of £5 allowed under Army Order 209 of 1916, with £10 to follow. Was this bounty linked to the fact that he had been a Territorial? Regards, Alf McM
