Does anyone know where this battery was based in July 1916. I believe it was a home based unit as the man I am looking at didn't go overseas until 2nd May 1917.

thanks

It was raised as a 4.5" Howitzer battery from 6th Reserve Battery, 1B Reserve Brigade RFA, Forest Row, on July 3, 1916. It was also at Bullswater Camp, Aldershot from October 18, 1916 then Bordon then Market Lavington and finally Ewshott. Converted to 18 pdr in December 1916, it went overseas as part of 65th Army Brigade RFA on May 2, 1917.
