Remembered Today:

RAF centenary exhibition in St Omer

Recommended Posts

Just visited an exhibition in St Omer, northern France, which opened today and continues till September. Open Tues-Sun, 2-6pm; closed Mon.

It is laid out around a full-size replica of a Bleriot IX, in the newly refurbished Chapelle des Jésuites, Rue du Lycée.

Info panels in English and French.

i don’t know much about the RFC/RAF, but found it very interesting. There are photos, films, tools, models, bombs, medals, equipment, plus - which I knew nothing about - darts.

I will try and attach a few photos.
