Guest camjas Posted 26 May , 2003 Share Posted 26 May , 2003 Reading the war record of a relative who was wounded and died in WW1 showed he was passed from the NZ Field Ambulance to an Aust CCS or Hosp - near steenwerck, Trois Arbes CWGC area. There are file numbers mentioned in the record. Does anyone know if these records survived down to individual level and where I could research them? Andrew P Posted 27 May , 2003 Share Posted 27 May , 2003 You might want to check 'Record Search' on the National Archives of Australia website. This covers the official records held by the National Archives & the Australian War Memorial. They should have reference to the Australian Casualty Clearing Stations. http://www.naa.gov.au
