Hello

Been struggling on this one all afternoon and found nothing!

Charles Henry Davis joined in 1889 aged 14  - reenlisted 12th December 1914 aged 37 years and 350 days serving again in the Coldstream Gds during WW1.  NOK given as Susan Burt - no idea if mother but she was 67 in 1911 according to census

His KSA medal receipt in 1903 gives an address as Lower Kennington Lane

Sadly his birth details are a bit fuzzy as I didnt take the best pic !

Any info appreciated

cheers

Ian

Thanks all

. His address in 1903 was the police station, I'm trying to ideally find him in the 1911 census.  There are 2 of this name on the met police 1911 medal roll.

had an idea, looked for and found him as a coldstreamer in the 1891 census

He was wounded in  May1915 and before I even think about looking in newspapers need to work out where he might have lived
