theodore Posted 22 May , 2018 Share Posted 22 May , 2018 2nd Lieut. Stewart died of wounds (Abbeville Hospital) on the 10 Sept. 1916 whilst serving with 20th Bn. Manchester Regt. if any member can help with info (if any) from the Bn. war diary for the period Aug/Sept 16 (if any mention of his wounding etc) it would be most appreciated. He had served previously with the 2nd Bn. Worcs. and had been mentioned in dispatches (L/Cpl. 1915) and awarded the M.M. (Sgt. 1916). Discharged to commission 30.6.1916.
