Remembered Today:

Information on cap badge

Good evening,

I have recently come across this photo of my Great Grandad on his wedding day in 1918 while helping my Nanny move.

Her father was an Old Contemptible however we had no idea that my Grandad's father had signed up - I am guessing towards the end of the war.

His name was Thomas Burroughs and he lived in Norfolk.

I appreciate the photo makes the cap badge a little difficult to recognise but I am wondering if someone might be able to suggest what regiment he was in.

Many thanks in advance.

Tom

I agree with Royal Sussex Regiment, the star and shape of the title scroll are together distinctive.

Thank you both so much for your replies.  I will go this route and see what I can find.

I hope you both have great evenings.

Tom
