Remembered Today:

German Trench Art Ring and Bangle

Hi all,

Several years ago I purchased these two pieces from an online dealer. One is a ring inscribed crudely with “1916” and the Maltese Cross, and the second is a bangle inscribed “1917” with oak leaves crudely circumscribing it. Both appear to be made of copper. The bangle is too small to fit over my hand so I am assuming that it was made for a sweetheart.

I believe the seller purported that these were found on the Eastern Front. Does anyone have anything similar in their possession?

Kindest Regards,

Andrew
